The market is less than 1\/2% from that closing high. International stocks managed a gain of 0.32%. A solid retail sales report and good industrial numbers for March in China, see below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUARTERLY MARKET REVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our quarterly market review\/outlook was published today on YouTube. You can view it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KFl58-ipYIw&amp;feature=youtu.be\">here at this link.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>RETAIL SALES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Retail sales for March were up 1.64%, the increase was much higher than the consensus and it was the largest increase since September of 2017. The high number helped increase the Atlanta Fed&#8217;s GDPNow estimate of Q1 growth to 2.8% from 2.3%.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/envisionco.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Retail-Sales.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3221\" src=\"https:\/\/envisionco.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Retail-Sales-300x171.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/envisionco.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Retail-Sales-300x171.png 300w, https:\/\/envisionco.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Retail-Sales-768x439.png 768w, https:\/\/envisionco.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Retail-Sales-1024x585.png 1024w, https:\/\/envisionco.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Retail-Sales-500x286.png 500w, https:\/\/envisionco.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Retail-Sales.png 1227w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>CHINA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Industrial production in China jumped by 8.5% in March from a year earlier and the economy grew by 6.4% in the first quarter. The 6.4% increase even with Q4 and just below prior quarters but gives hope that China is beginning to stabilize.
